Minister for Cabinet Office to speak at CCWF London

February 20, 2012

Minister for the Cabinet Office and the UK Government’s leading voice on cloud computing, Francis Maude, will be one of over 150 expert speakers presenting at this year’s Cloud Computing World Forum 2012, on 12 and 13 June.

Mr. Maude has been in the spotlight over the last 24 hours for officially launching the public sector cloud computing marketplace in the UK, and he will head a long list of influential governmental figures at the World Forum, including CIO for UK Government, Andy Nelson, CIO for City of London, Bill Limond, CIO for the United Nations, Naginder Dhanoa, and Acting Deputy Director General (DG INFSO) for the European Commission, Megan Richards.

His talk promises to be an intriguing one, with so many changes afoot for the public sector’s IT procurement process.

And with the much-publicised G-Cloud initiative and online CloudStore officially launched yesterday and a second round of procurement due within the coming months, as well as a number of issues still related to the on-going development of governmental cloud services, the Cloud Computing World Forum promises to be a vital platform for both public and private sector decision-makers to come together and debate the future of cloud.

Alongside leading lights from the public sector, the list of 150 expert speakers featuring at the event will also include other top names such as CTO for Amazon, Werner Vogels CISO & VP for eBay, Dave Cullinane, and Former CEO for Pepsico and Apple Inc, John Sculley.

Sponsors for the show already include Microsoft, Google, Dell, Accenture and many more. We’re adding new exhibitors to our list all the time, so if you’re keen on exhibiting call us on +44 (0)845 519 1230 asap.
