The Best Virtualization Solution examines products and tools that enable or leverage the virtual enterprise through cloud computing, and products that enable virtualization and platforms targeted at virtualization applications are also included in this category.
What was once a privilege for the biggest companies is now available to all, with start-up businesses and SMBs now profiting from using virtualized machines and virtual desktops to alternate their IT practices. More and more tools are becoming readily available for all manner of organisations, and virtualization is finally addressing one of the biggest problems for an IT infrastructure – practicality. We hope this year's entrants for the Best Virtualization Solution will deliver these key elements in abundance.
In 2011, our judging panel awarded the Best Virtualization Solution to Hexagrid:
“We are honored that the judging panel of industry experts selected VxDatacenter for this award,” says Suresh Mandava, CEO and Founder of Hexagrid, on receiving the award.
“When virtualization was just beginning, before the term ‘cloud computing’ existed, Hexagrid was developing VxDatacenter to revolutionize the way businesses consume and deliver IT resources. Today VxDatacenter enables infrastructure as a service in more than 10 countries on 4 continents as an all-in-one virtualization tool and cloud management system. This award is a testament to that progress.”
