Best Cloud Storage Solution

The number of cloud storage providers rocketed in 2011, and with it a number of issues related to security, data analysis and data protection. Data centre and storage professionals are working hard to improve and maintain cloud storage facilities, and the 2012 Best Cloud Storage Solution aims to celebrate the most innovative storage providers.

In previous years, the category for "Best Cloud Storage Solution" has been defined by those service providers that incorporate the following characteristics: Large scalability; Not tied to a specific geographic location; Based on commodity components; Billed on a usage basis; Application agnostic; however, in 2012, security and value-for-money will drive the criteria for the eventual judging decision.

In 2011, our judging panel awarded the Best Cloud Storage Solution to Pillar Data, for its Application-Aware™ storage product:

“Pillar Data is taking great leaps to work with customers to provide a reliable cloud storage infrastucture and winning this award shows that what we are doing is working," Jonathan Hebbes, Regional Director, NEMEA at Pillar Data Systems said, on receiving the award.

"We are delighted that our USP focusing on Quality of Service and driving maximum storage efficiency has been recognised in this space.”
