It can be confirmed that the Head of IT Development at First National Bank (FNB) will be presenting at the Cloud Computing World Forum Africa, taking place on the 8th May 2012 in Johannesburg.
First National Bank is the oldest bank in South Africa and widely regarded as one of the country’s ‘big four’ banks. With recent expansion in to East Africa and Tanzania in 2011 and the introduction of eWallet solution, a feature which enables users to pay money from eWallet directly to a bank account and enabling the payment of bills, FNB are fast becoming one of the African regions most forward –thinking organisations.
Yolisa Skwintshi, Head of IT Development at, FNB, offers more than a decade of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on Application/Software. She has previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of Fort Hare and as a Technical Lead at Standard Bank, another of Africa’s ‘big four’ banks.
In her role at First National Bank, Yolisa heads up application development teams that deliver and maintain systems which provide enhanced, measurable and automated business processes that reduce the turnaround times of achieving sales, and improve sales productivity for the entire bank.
Yolisa will be presenting a session entitled ‘The Cloud as a Support for the Applications’ Lifecycle,’ taking place at 13.30 SAST. This session will explore how to make Application Lifecycle Management more agile, measuring performance and enterprise application integration.
